Our vision is a world where cancer is preventable, detectable and beatable for all. To advance the Prevent Cancer Foundation’s bold goal to reduce cancer deaths by 40% by 2035, we aim to support innovative research and vital community projects dedicated to advancing cancer prevention and early detection.
The 2027 Impact Grants focus on advancing research for cancers without current U.S. guideline-recommended screening methods and supporting rural organizations doing critical work in their communities. Together, these priorities bring us closer to a world where every cancer can be prevented or detected early, and where screening services are available in every community.
To be considered, research proposals had to focus on one of the following cancer types: blood (leukemia/lymphoma), bone, brain, esophageal, head-and-neck, liver, ovarian, pancreatic, stomach, and uterine cancers, and sarcomas (connective-tissue).
Cancer is one of the top five leading causes of death in rural America, and rural residents face higher cancer death rates than urban residents. To reduce these disparities, we have accepted applications for projects focused on cancer prevention and early detection in rural areas from organizations located in the communities they serve.
