The Prevent Cancer Foundation’s annual Early Detection Survey asks U.S. adults ages 21 and older about their knowledge and behaviors around routine cancer screening.¹ Conducted in January 2023, this survey shows that 65% of survey respondents are not up to date on at least one of their routine cancer screenings.²

Here’s the good news: When people learn about the importance of early detection, it has a significant impact on motivating them to get screened.³ After reading information regarding cancer screening and which cancer screenings they need, 72% of people said they were more likely to schedule their next routine cancer screening.

1 የ Prevent Cancer Foundation ለ 2,014 አሜሪካውያን እድሜያቸው 21 እና ከዚያ በላይ በሆኑት ላይ አቶሚክ ምርምርን በመስመር ላይ እንዲያካሂድ ትእዛዝ ሰጥቷል። የስህተቱ ህዳግ +/- 2 በመቶ ነጥብ ሲሆን የመተማመን ክፍተት 95% ነው። የመስክ ስራ የተካሄደው ከጃንዋሪ 7 እስከ ጃንዋሪ 11 ቀን 2023 ነው። አቶሚክ ምርምር ራሱን የቻለ የገበያ ጥናትና ምርምር ኤጀንሲ ነው።

2 በዚህ ዳሰሳ የተጠኑት የካንሰር ምርመራዎች የጡት ካንሰር፣ የማህፀን በር ካንሰር፣ የአንጀት ካንሰር፣ የአፍ ካንሰር፣ የሳንባ ካንሰር፣ የፕሮስቴት ካንሰር፣ የቆዳ ካንሰር እና የወንድ የዘር ፍሬ ካንሰር ናቸው።

3 ካንሰር ቀደም ብሎ ሲታወቅ ለበለጠ የተሳካ ህክምና እድል ይጨምራል። እንዲሁም ያነሰ ሰፊ ሕክምና ሊፈልጉ ይችላሉ ወይም ብዙ የሕክምና አማራጮች ሊኖሩዎት ይችላሉ። ለብዙ የካንሰር ዓይነቶች የአምስት ዓመት የመዳን መጠን 90% ማለት ይቻላል ካንሰር ገና በመጀመርያ ደረጃ ላይ ሲገኝ ነው።
