Run the LA Marathon with us!

Multiple people running a marathon in early morning on pavement.

Calling all long-distance runners—and anyone looking to turn their fitness into fundraising!

It’s almost marathon season, and you can make your miles more meaningful by running to support the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

The Prevent Cancer Foundation is proud to be a charity partner of the Los Angeles Marathon, taking place on March 8, 2026. No need to qualify for a race bib—instead, you can receive one of the Foundation’s 10 coveted spots by partnering with the Foundation and raising money for cancer research, education, outreach and advocacy.

Simon Edwards is running the 2026 Los Angeles Marathon with the Foundation to remember his father and support cancer prevention.

“I was drawn to the Prevent Cancer Foundation as I lost my father in March this year from lung cancer. Since he passed, I’ve wanted to find a way to honor his memory while raising money for cancer prevention. Running the LA marathon with the Prevent Cancer Foundation is the perfect way to do this,” Edwards said.

If you’re running to support the Foundation, we would love to hear about it! Send us an email at pcf@preventcancer.org so we can celebrate and recognize you. (And help you get your green on at the race!)

And remember: You don’t have to run 26.2 miles to make a difference! Movement of any kind can be transformative, and there are so many ways to start a fitness fundraiser. Whether you run, bike or host a fitness class benefiting the Foundation, choose what speaks to you and get moving! Head to preventcancer.org/ways to get started.
