(Alexandria, Va.)–The Prevent Cancer Foundation in partnership with The National Museum for Women in the Arts will be hosting the “Empowering Women on Prevention” panel on Tuesday October 2. The discussion will focus on empowering women and the steps they can take to reduce the risks of cancer. WUSA 9 TV anchor Andrea Roane will moderate and the panel will feature physician, educator and breast cancer survivor Carolyn D. Runowicz, M.D., physician, health and wellness expert Ann Kulze, M.D. and entrepreneur, founder of Athena Water and breast cancer survivor Trish May. With the beginning of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this lively discussion is especially timely as two of the panelists are breast cancer survivors themselves. The reception begins at 5:30 pm with the panel discussion to follow at 6:30 pm.
