Save the date for the 6th Annual Prevent Cancer 5k Walk/Run on September 21, 2014 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
We are happy to announce registration is now open for the 2014 Prevent Cancer 5k Walk/Run. This year’s event will feature a scenic course around Nationals Park and the Capitol Riverfront, a chance to test your skills in the Nationals batting cages and information and cancer screenings provided by local medical professionals. We are thrilled to have Helen Moreau, President and CEO of The Midtown Group and Jerry FitzGerald, member of Prevent Cancer’s Board of Directors, serving as the 2014 5k Walk/Run Co-Chairs.
This year we have partnered with Rallybound to create a registration platform that is user-friendly for participants as well as donors. When you register as a participant, you are automatically set up with a personal fundraising headquarters where you can manage different aspects of your fundraising such as setting a goal, promoting your participation to family and friends via social media or sending emails to potential donors. As a donor, you have the option to donate to a specific fundraiser or team or make a general donation to Prevent Cancer through a quick donation page.
