The 6th Annual Asian Heritage Festival marked the Prevent Cancer Super Colon®’s  first visit to San Francisco.

Thanks to the California Colon Cancer Control Program (CCCCP) the exhibit brought awareness about prevention and early detection of colon cancer to this premier community event. Hundreds of people turned out to see healthy colon tissue, as well as polyps at various stages.

The CCCCP is a federally funded program established to increase awareness of colon cancer through public health education. The Prevent Cancer Foundation partners with the Center for Disease Control to raise awareness that, for all populations, and unlike many other cancers, colon cancer is preventable, treatable, and beatable through early detection.
