During the holiday season it can be hard to resist the tempting sweets at parties and family gatherings. This year, try this easy, three-ingredient dessert. It is a great alternative to traditional holiday sweets and comes with some health benefits.
Cranberries are high in fiber, which some studies have found may lower your risk for colorectal cancer. Add dark chocolate and walnuts, which are both full of healthy antioxidants, and this super simple recipe is the perfect treat for your next holiday party!
Cranberry Walnut Clusters
Ingredients
8 oz. dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
½ cup dried cranberries
1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
Directions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Melt chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler. If using the microwave, set power to 50 percent and melt in 30 second intervals, stirring in between. It should take around two minutes; be careful not to burn. Mix in cranberries and walnuts. Drop by tablespoons onto baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Store in fridge.
