Prevent Cancer Foundation® welcomes Jody Hoyos as Senior Vice President

Jody Hoyos, Senior Vice President, Prevent Cancer FoundationAlexandria, Va.—Jody Hoyos has joined the Prevent Cancer Foundation® in the role of Senior Vice President. With more than 20 years in leadership in the health care sector, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position. In her new role, Ms. Hoyos’ focus will be management and strategic planning.

“The Foundation is thrilled to welcome Jody to our senior leadership,” said Carolyn Aldigé, founder and CEO of the Prevent Cancer Foundation®. “It’s fortuitous that her first day, December 3, coincided with the Foundation’s 33rd anniversary. With more than three decades of progress in cancer prevention and early detection behind us, we look forward to Jody’s insight and leadership to help take us to new heights in the coming years.”

Prior to assuming this role, Ms. Hoyos was vice president of operations and membership services at the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) since 2008. From 2003-2008, she served as AWHONN’s director of client relations. She has worked at BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting), Arthur Andersen, Georgetown University Hospital and The Advisory Board Company.

 “I have spent my career working toward improving population health and the health care experience, and am thrilled to continue that work with the Prevent Cancer Foundation,” Ms. Hoyos said. “Cancer prevention and early detection programs are powerful tools that have dramatically improved public health, but are yet to be fully optimized. I look forward to working with staff, researchers, health care professionals and families to continue building those tools and resources so we can stop cancer before it starts.”
