While I’m known for caring for some high-profile patients such as Angelina Jolie and Sheryl Crow, my career goal is to ensure that all women, regardless of circumstance or ability to pay, are receiving high-quality breast cancer prevention, screening and treatment.
So many women are uninsured or unable to pay for health care—as a result, they do not get screened for breast cancer, receive care too late or don’t receive care at all. We need to ensure that all women get the care they need, including screening, diagnosis, treatment and support. It is also my firm belief that prevention and wellness matter as much as lifesaving treatment.
That’s why I’ve teamed up with the Prevent Cancer Foundation®, the only U.S. nonprofit dedicated solely to cancer prevention and early detection. I’m honored to be delivering the Opening Keynote Address next month at the Prevent Cancer Foundation’s annual Dialogue for Action® conference on cancer screening and prevention.
I look forward to dialoguing with you as we work together to save lives. Click HERE to join us in Baltimore for Dialogue for Action® April 6-8, 2016.
See you there!
