Prevent Cancer Super Colon: In Communities Across America

“Bring the Prevent Cancer Super Colon exhibit to your hometown and help reduce the risk of colon cancer in your community!”  This is the message the Prevent Cancer Foundation has been spreading nationwide since 2005 when it first pioneered the traveling, inflatable, giant colon.

The exhibit is a huge visual attraction wherever it goes, which is part of the impact it has made in hundreds of communities as it raises the awareness of colorectal (CRC) cancer through its interactive displays and on site staff, who answer questions about screening, genetics and healthy lifestyles.  In motivating the public to know about CRC screening, the Super Colon reminds people that colorectal cancer almost always develops from precancerous polyps (abnormal growths) in the colon or rectum.  Certain screening tests can find precancerous polyps, so that they can be removed before they turn into cancer. Screening tests can also find colorectal cancer early, when treatment works best.

Check out the videos from Communities Across America where the exhibit has visted in the past few years and then reserve a date to bring the Super Colon to your hometown.
