The Prevent Cancer Foundation is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Ellen Stovall, former CEO and subsequent Senior Health Policy Advisor at the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS). For more than 30 years, Ellen, a three-time cancer survivor, worked tirelessly to create change that would improve the quality of life and care of cancer patients and survivors.
“Ellen has been a great friend to the Prevent Cancer Foundation for more than three decades,” said Carolyn Aldigé, President and Founder of the Prevent Cancer Foundation. “Her loss will be felt not only by her friends and family, but by countless cancer survivors who have been helped by her life’s work. We have lost both a wonderful person and a passionate advocate for better cancer care, and she will be profoundly missed.”
