Prevent Cancer Foundation is always looking for dedicated and energetic volunteers to engage in our mission and make our fundraising events successful! Here is how you can get involved as a volunteer:

Annual Spring Gala – March 10, 2017, National Building Museum, Washington, DC

The Prevent Cancer Annual Spring Gala brings together nearly 1,000 guests from to raise awareness and funds for research, education, outreach and advocacy initiatives focused on cancer prevention and early detection. Volunteer opportunities include registering guests, assisting with the silent auction and participating in the “Lighting the Way” ceremony.

Annual 5k Walk/Run – TBD, 2017, Nationals Park, Washington, DC

The Annual Prevent Cancer 5k Walk/Run is the largest public event the Prevent Cancer Foundation holds with the purpose of raising awareness for cancer prevention and early detection while promoting healthy lifestyle choices that includes diet and exercise. Tasks can include checking in participants, directing as a course marshal, checking in bags, handing out water at various stations, getting the crowd excited and more.
