I am thrilled and honored to once again be designing the Prevent Cancer Foundation’s 19th Annual Spring Gala held on March 8, 2013 at the National Building Museum in Washington D.C. This year’s theme is inspired by Italy’s treasured holiday, “la Festa della Donna” or Women’s Day, a celebration to honor women and their achievements. Being of Italian ancestry, I am particularly eager to capture the essence of Italian culture in the Gala décor.
In support of the Gala that raises funds for cancer prevention and early detection programs, I am again inviting my Facebook fans to participate in my 2nd annual Facebook contest to benefit my charity of choice, the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Each fan that makes a donation of $5 or more between Tuesday, February 5 and Friday, March 8 will be entered into a drawing to win a signed copy of my book, “The Big White Book of Weddings” and an autographed photo!! Every donation will support the funding of vital community cancer prevention and early detection programs that help save the lives of men, women and children across the county. The winner will be announced on my Facebook page on Tuesday, March 12.
I, like so many others, have family and friends that have been touched by cancer. I encourage all of my fans to join the Facebook contest for the Prevent Cancer Foundation and help each of us to help all of us prevent cancer.

I want to thank you David for inspiring me to follow two dreams I have had since childhood. First and foremost the desire to host a cancer fundraiser! When I found the Prevent Cancer link on your web site I was overjoyed! I now had a way to honor the many friends and family I have lost to various types of cancer. On April 13th I will be hosting my first ever fundraiser dinner. Oh yes, the second dream was to open my own wedding planning business which I did in 2010. Thank you for inspiring me!!! Now I hope my fundraiser is successful. 🙂
