THANK YOU to all participants, donors, sponsors and volunteers who helped raise nearly $70,000 for the 3rd Annual Prevent Cancer Foundation 5K, held September 24, 2011. More than 400 registered participants, including 34 teams and 25 pets, took steps to save lives through cancer prevention and early detection, helping the Foundation further its vision to Stop Cancer Before It Starts! A special thank you goes to Chilli Amar, MIX 107.3 radio personality, for being the mistress of ceremonies and presenting the awards to the top individual and team fundraisers.

A big shout out to our top individual fundraiser Katherine Kennedy and her first place fundraising team, KK’s Cancer Kickers, who collectively raised more than $7,500. A special mention to Team Prostate and HH Knock It Out Team, who both raised over $1,000 for cancer prevention efforts.
